Please join me in celebrating the life of Kevin Kwai Tang.
On July 11th, 2025 my dear Kevin lost his life to complications from lung cancer. Learn more here.
His wish was to forgo a traditional viewing and funeral. Instead he wanted to be cremated and have a celebration of his life.
I have decided that the evening of Saturday, April 4, 2026 would be a fitting date for his celebration. It would have been his 70th birthday.
The event will take place near our NYC home in Chelsea’s Gallery District.

The Location
Lavin Chelsea is located in the heart of Chelsea’s Gallery District and steps to the High Line.
It’s located at 541 W 25th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues in New York City.
The doors will open at 5:30pm for Kevin’s Celebration.
The Celebration
Join me in a multimedia tribute to our dear Kevin featuring stories and memories from cherished friends and family members.
Please wear cocktail party attire. Kevin’s favorite color was blue.
The celebration will start promptly at 6:00pm.
More Celebration
April 4th would have been Kevin’s 70th birthday. Let’s toast to his life and enjoy some of his favorite bites.
The reception will begin immediately after the tribute until 9:30pm.
